Stop Press

Due to a lack of interest, the camping option is no longer being offered as described below. There were not enough takers to warrant the RFC opening up the area for us. If you are still interested in camping, contact the RFC office directly and see what options they might have available.

As part of the organising committee's effort to make this regatta as affordable and easy to attend as possbile, we have negotiated with the Mornington Peninsula council  access to Section 10 of the Rosebud Foreshore Camping Reserve. Section 10 consists of 25 basic camping sites (unpowered) which will be offered to competitors on first come, first served basis. Nearby there is a under-cover camp kitchen with 2 BBQs, sinks and 2 burner stove. All the major stores, Coles, Safeway, KMart and Target plus McDonals and KFC are basically across the road about 2 minutes walk away. This is holiday central for the Peninsula.

Book your a camping site directly with the Rosebud Foreshore Committee - the application form can be downloaded here. Just mark your application, "505 Nationals - Section 10".

Once the 25 sites are gone, that is it. You are allowed up to 4 persons per site. Last Christmas, each site cost $130 for 7 nights over the regatta period, (check with RFC for latest fees). If you have between 5 and 8 people in your group, you will need to book and pay for a second site when you submit your application. That makes for pretty cheap accommodation for the length of the regatta.

Distance from the camping area to the McCrae YC is 3kms.
